Welcome to Quilted Illusions by Erin Judd

I started Quilted Illusions back in 2005 as a custom quilting/ long-arm business.  It was around this same time that all three of my sons were diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  I found myself constantly trying to find ways to give my boys the sensory input they needed along with ways to help them deal with the anxieties that come with having Autism.  When I designed a weighted quilt for my sons, I wanted it to be something they would love as well as something that any child would want to have.  I was hoping to make something that didn't look like a typical therapy tool so that my boys wouldn't stand out while using it.  I also wanted it to be machine wash and dry.  This was so important!  After I finished their first weighted quilt, their teachers saw it and fell in love with it.  Soon, Quilted Illusions turned into so much more than a quilting shop!  I love meeting other parents who are going through similar circumstances as my family.  It brings me great joy to be able to make a product that I know will bring their loved ones much needed comfort and joy.
